National control plans are nationally-agreed response plans for priority established marine pests.
Each plan provides strategies to prevent, control and manage a particular marine pest species.
This includes:
- contingency plans
- potential budget and resources
- public awareness strategies
- future research and development.
These control plans were published in 2010 under the now superseded National System for the Prevention and Management of Marine Pest Incursions. While some of the information published in these resources is no longer applicable to the contemporary marine pest surveillance activities, much of the information remains relevant and valuable.
